My previous page had a long discussion about Chistyakov embeddings, but now I'm too lazy to explain them again. Go check out his awesome paper by yourself and see the awesome pictures. Some really cool embeddings of $\mathbb{Q}_p$ in $\mathbb{C}$, really crazy stuff.
